Digital Slavery and The 4th Industrial Revolution

Last night at a meet-the-candidate event graciously held at the home of Debi Ring, a question was raised about globalism and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). I decided it might be a good idea for this concept to get its own blog post.

What is 4IR?
4IR is a concept popularized by Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum, which promises a future of technological utopia—where artificial intelligence, mass surveillance, and centralized control reshape society. But beneath the glossy veneer of "progress" lies a dangerous agenda that undermines individual liberty, free markets, and personal responsibility—core principles that Utah conservatives hold dear.
What Is the 4th Industrial Revolution?
Klaus Schwab’s vision of the 4th Industrial Revolution is one where governments, corporations, and global elites merge technology with human life in unprecedented ways. It includes:

- Mass Data Collection & Surveillance – Through facial recognition, digital IDs, and social credit systems.
- Centralized Control Over the Economy – With calls for "stakeholder capitalism," replacing free enterprise with top-down governance.
- Loss of Privacy & Autonomy – As biometric tracking and AI dictate personal choices under the guise of "efficiency."
- Erosion of National Sovereignty – By promoting global governance over local decision-making.
Why This Clashes with Utah’s Values
1. Big Government Overreach – Utahns believe in limited government, not a technocratic regime that monitors and controls every aspect of life.
2. Threat to Free Markets – The 4IR pushes for corporate-government partnerships that pick winners and losers, stifling true competition.
3. Loss of Personal Freedom – From digital currency controls to AI-driven censorship, this agenda seeks to dictate what you can say, buy, and even think.
4. Globalism Over Localism – Utah thrives on community, faith, and self-reliance—not unelected global elites deciding our future.
Why We Must Resist
The 4th Industrial Revolution isn’t just about technology—it’s about power. Those pushing this agenda want to reshape society without consent, replacing God-given freedoms with a digitally enslaved, compliant population.
Here in Utah, we must:
- Reject any form of digital ID or social credit system that could be used to control behavior.
- Oppose centralized economic control disguised as public-private partnerships.
- Demand transparency from leaders who may be influenced by globalist organizations like the WEF.
- Promote free-market innovation without surrendering to technocratic tyranny.
Stand for Liberty, Not Control
Utah was built by pioneers who valued independence, hard work, and faith—not by bureaucrats who think they can engineer a "better" society through surveillance and control. The 4th Industrial Revolution is a direct threat to those values.
We must be vigilant. We must push back against anyone—whether in government, academia, or corporate boardrooms—who seeks to impose this dangerous vision on our state.
The future of our freedom depends on it.
